Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber is reportedly buying a diamond ring for his on-off girlfriend Selena Gomez. The 19-year-old singer asked a Beverly Hills jeweller Neil Lane to design a 650,000 pounds creation to be gifted to Gomez on her 21st birthday, reported Daily Star.

Is Beyonce pregnant? That seems to have been the question of the week as the singer canceled shows and ordered large amounts of chicken in Europe. Sources have supposedly “confirmed” Beyonce’s second pregnancy, but neither the singer nor husband Jay-Z has said a word.

Actually, Beyonce may have said a few words on Instagram — but they were inconclusive and quickly disappeared.

The Instagram message in question was posted on Friday (May 17) and was removed by the next morning. According to the Toronto Sun, which got a look at the message while it still existed, Beyonce wrote the following:

“I can’t stop the rumors from starting, and I can’t really change peoples minds who believe them, all I can do is sit back and laugh at these low life people who have nothing better to do than talk about me.”

Mass murderer Charles Manson was denied parole in his 12th and probably final bid for freedom.

Manson, now a grey-bearded 77-year-old, did not attend the California hearing where the parole board ruled he had shown no efforts to rehabilitate himself. He is not eligible for parole for another 15 years.

“This panel can find nothing good as far as suitability factors go,” said John Peck, a panel member.

A key factor in the board’s decision was something Manson said recently to one of his prison psychologists, which Peck read aloud: “‘I’m special. I’m not like the average inmate. I have spent my life in prison. I have put five people in the grave. I am a very dangerous man.’”

The panel deliberated for 20 minutes before making its decision.

Manson orchestrated a series of gruesome murders that terrified Los Angeles 40 years ago. Manson and his followers were convicted for the 1969 slaying of actress Sharon Tate and four others.

Coca-Cola Co and PepsiCo Inc are making changes to the production of an ingredient in their namesake colas to avoid the need to label the packages with a cancer warning.

The change will not be noticeable to consumers, according to statements from both companies.

Coke and Pepsi said on Friday that they had asked their suppliers of the caramel coloring in their colas to alter their manufacturing process to meet the requirements of a California ballot initiative aiming to limit people’s exposure to toxic chemicals.

“Consumers will notice no difference in our products and have no reason at all for any health concerns,” said PepsiCo spokeswoman Gina Anderson in a statement.

The change is meant to reduce the amount of a chemical called 4-methylimidazole, or 4-MI, which in January was added to the list of chemicals covered by California’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, also known as Proposition 65.

High levels of that chemical have been linked to cancer in animals.
